He who knows not,
and knows not that he knows not, is a fool - shun him.
He who knows not, and knows that he knows not, is a child - teach him.
He who knows, and knows not that he knows, is asleep - wake him.
But he who knows, and know that he knows, is a wise man - follow him
A wise man addressed a crowed saying:
"People, do you want knowledge without difficulties,
truth without falsehood,
attainment without effort, progress without sacrifice?"
Every one shouted, "yes, yes!"
"Wonderful!" he says,
"I do too, and if I ever discover how to do it, I will be be delighted to tell you."
A man asked his teacher,
"what action can I take that is not totally lost and worthless?"
The teacher answered, "Seek truth. You will find it in yourself; therefore, know yourself.
Seek the company of the wise, who know.
Agree with what they say, for one understands only that which one agrees.
Be sincere in what you say. A single tongue should not speak two different words.
No deceit or fraud should enter in your thoughts.
Do not belittle anyone or anything, for everyone and everything in its inner being wishes for the same thing.
Do not touch anything that is not yours. Avoid crowded places; even in such places, try to be with yourself,
for that is the place where the truth is manifested. That is where the truth is."
If words come out of the heart, they will enter the heart,
if they come out from the tongue, they will not pass beyond the ears.
